Protein Biochemistry

DOWNSTREAM PROCESS DEVELOPMENT

AND CHARACTERISATION

Protein Biochemistry department features state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure for purifications of recombinant therapeutic proteins such as monoclonal antibodies (mAbs).

Our services for biopharma partners include performance of downstream process (DSP) development, DSP characterization and column life-time (resin re-use) studies. Furthermore, we also perform scale-down model verifications and packing of columns according to specifications requested by our clients.

    BIOPHYSICAL

    CHARACTERISATION

Protein biochemistry also performs biophysical analytics of recombinant therapeutic proteins, which includes (1) SPR (Biacore T200) for label-free characterization of biomolecular interactions, (2) ELISA / AlphaLISA / AlphaScreen for biomolecular interaction studies in microplate format, and (3) capillary electrophoresis (Sciex PA800 Plus) for determination of purity, heterogeneity by CE-SDS and charge variants by CZE or hi-res cIEF (ICE). Our expertise and experience span different classes of protein biotherapeutics including mAbs, insulins, GPCRs as well as synthetic peptides.
